Since he was very competitive in his early days, he was very motivated towards his success. Along with his stellar work ethics he always wanted to give back to the community so he served as a volunteer on multiple community activities. He was on the Board of Directors on 4 different organizations as well as helping to establish awards for current Mepham High School students, the Nick Sabetto Award, and the Dr. Fred Stunt Award.

With all Lee’s accomplishments, hard work, determination and awards, Lee was given the Walter Gilbert Award from Auburn University for Career Professional Excellence over a 20 year period. So to add to Lee’s credentials we honor him as a W.C. Mepham High School “Who’s Who” recipient.
