Fourth Annual Mepham All-Class ReunionSaturday, September 13, 2008 - noon to 5 p.m.
In addition to the big picnic the gathering was an opportunity for other groups to get together in smaller parties. In all those occasions the activities were open to members of other classes since friendships have dispersed to widening classes over the years. The Class of 1940 met Friday for the time between lunch and dinner at the Old Country Buffet in Levittown. Also, in 2004 the Class of 1946 met Friday night for wine and cheese in Jerry and Clare Eastwood Worthing's home. The Class of 1941 had a Sunday reunion lunch at the West Wind in Freeport, and the Class of 1972 gathered Friday night at Hudson & McCoy in Freeport. In 2007 we had the September to Remember celebration. Other classes have coordinated their reunions on this weekend.
The great advantage of having an all-class reunion is that people can get together for other smaller activities, knowing that we will continue to have that first weekend after Labor Day set aside to gather ourselves with our friends. We will attempt to keep our alumni informed of activities that are planned through this web site.
Classes 39, 40, and 41: Friday, 2-5 p.m. at the Old Country Buffet, 3023 Hempstead Tpk, Levittown, reservations unnecessary, all are welcome (including other classes). Contact: John Lackos, 516-809-5080.
Class of 1998 will have its 10th reunion at the Cedar Creek Park at the same time as the All-Class reunion.
